As Easter approaches I once again ponder Christ’s sacrifice for us. This painting is a portrayal of his intercession on our behalf…
The red symbolizes the outpouring of his blood from the cross…the white is a symbol of the purity and holiness of his sacrifice…the green indicates the growth and transformational change that occurs as we accept his gift…the calligraphic marks represent his cries and prayers of intercession for us…”Father forgive them for they know not what they do”…
I stand in awe of so great a love for us…and am humbled once again by his grace…
